 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub, an American actor and comedian is also known as Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub. She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actor as a young person just after moving to the United States. In AT&T commercials on television she played the character of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 to 2016 and then in until 2020. Apart from commercial appearances, she was also a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She was also an actor in the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub is also the voice of Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after being selected to play the character in the unaired TV pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. She and her parents fled antisemitism at the age of two. They moved to West Hollywood. She began performing in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five due to the financial difficulties of her family. Vayntrub went to Beverly Hills High School briefly, but she dropped out during her second year. Then, she earned the GED and earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She learned how to perform improv from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
